The Track – Launching 2020

Proposals for the creative digital hub have taken a major step forward with the signing of the lease for space in Bognor Regis railway station.

Called ‘The Track’, the hub will offer a shared and collaborative employment workspace, events space, meeting rooms and ultrafast fibre connection for creative and digital businesses in the area.

The lease for two spaces in Bognor Regis railway station has been signed between West Sussex County Council, Govia Thameslink Railways and Network Rail.

The project is being delivered by the County Council with the support of the Coast to Capital Local Enterprise Partnership Local Growth Fund, whose main priorities are to drive economic growth and create local jobs.

Louise Goldsmith, Leader of West Sussex County Council, said: “The signing of the lease is another huge step forward for the Bognor Regis Creative Digital Hub project.

“Ultimately, the aim of The Track is to make sure that flourishing creative and digital businesses in the local area have a multi-purpose space that they can use to get their businesses up and running, or to grow their businesses further. It will also be a great space to skill share with like-minded individuals.

“It has been in the planning stages for a long time and to hear that the work will begin shortly is very exciting.”

Works to build The Track will begin in October, with completion planned for March 2020. Experienced workspace managers Town Square Spaces Ltd have been appointed to operate the space.

They will shortly begin engagement work with local businesses to raise awareness of what The Track will offer.

The Track has been designed by internationally renowned designer, and West Sussex resident, Wayne Hemingway and his team at Hemingway Design.
