24 Sep September Update from Wired Sussex
The summer sun might still be with us, but the kids are back to school, evenings are drawing in and the Brighton Digital Festival is in full swing – yes, Autumn’s here.
We’ve spent a busy old time over the last few months progressing the work we’re doing with West Sussex County Council to develop the Bognor Regis creative community and now the holiday season is over we’ll be running a series of ‘community check-in’ events in the town.
What is it we’re doing in Bognor Regis again?
We’re working alongside West Sussex County Council (WSCC), the University of Chichester and Hemingway Design to explore how two unused spaces at Bognor Regis station can provide a focal point for the growth of the creative digital sector in the town.
Where is the project up?
Southern Rail has cleared the space of all the junk that had accumulated over the years and are now working with WSCC to agree the details of the lease. Hemingway Design has worked up drawings of the interiors, based on lots of discussions about the activities the space will need to host. And as part of our contract with WSCC we’ve appointed Vinco, a local communications agency to help us tell the story of the hub as it develops.
September Bognor Hub Community Check-in: Branding
Along with the interior design Hemingway have also been working on ideas for the name and visual identity for the hub. We’d like to share their work so far and start a discussion about how the hub fits into the changing story of Bognor Regis.
By coming along to the event you will:
- Meet some of the team behind the new Bognor Regis hub
- Find out about all the latest developments and news from the project
- Network with other like-minded folk
- Be part of the discussion and get the chance to share your ideas
Bognor Regis & beyond: Creative enterprise snapshot
Have you taken part in the survey yet? If you’re a creative digital business based in or near Bognor Regis we’d love to know more about you. We need your help to understand more about the community the hub needs to serve – and so shape the space and design activities that create the most value for everyone.
